    Editor’s note: Since the recording of this activity, the first dual glucose-ketone sensor has been FDA approved in the US. 

    Ketone monitoring is a cornerstone of diabetes management for preventing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), yet existing monitoring methods remain suboptimal and are used infrequently. These gaps in care are driving innovation in continuous ketone monitoring (CKM), as evidenced by the development of an international consensus statement on CKM for people with diabetes and the emergence of new technologies capable of continuous ketone measurement.
